Winter Retreat

Volunteers head to Michigan for a weekend of fun and learning.

Please arrive at North Shore Country Day School no later than 4:00 pm on Friday. Cars cannot be left in the parking lot. We will try our best to have you back by noon on Sunday. We are going to Tower Hill Camp in Sawyer, MI. We will be served a snack on Friday evening when we arrive. It is usually pizza.

You will need to bring the following items:

  1. Bandanna
  2. Warm sleeping bag and pillow. You will have a mattress but no sheets or blankets
  3. Warm clothing. This includes a hat, scarf, gloves, boots and warm coat. Long underwear & wool socks are also recommended. There will be activities that take place outside.
  4. Pencil/pen and a notebook.
  5. Water bottle/cup
  6. A beverage and/or snack to share with the group.
  7. Volunteer Training Handbook
  8. Towel if you want to shower
  9. Toiletries/Pajamas/change of clothing & whatever else you would normally bring to weekend trip.
